If you download a Smule song, for example with our Sing.Salon download service or from within the app, you get the original file formats Smule uses, which currently is .m4a for audio and .mp4 for video. Those are perfectly valid audio and video files and they should play on most recent devices.Â
But you might also run software which doesn’t recognize these file formats. So what do? One option is to use free online conversion tools in combination with our download service. So here is how …
Paste your Smule performance URL in our download service and wait for the data to be fetched. Instead of downloading the file directly, copy the target link of the button instead.Â
Now head over to a conversion site:
- Go here for audio files (from audio or video)
- Go here for video conversions
Pick the target format you want, e.g. .mp3, .wav, .mov and so on and make sure to pick the correct source format as well on the following page.Â
Then pick “from a URL” as source. You will see a new input field. Paste the URL you copied before on our page here and hit “convert”. The conversion will start and your Smule song will be download in whichever audio or video format you like.Â
