The Apple EarPods were introduced in 2012 and first shipped with the iPhone 5. They feature a remote control and microphone directly made for Apple devices. They work on Android devices too, but you won’t be able to use the volume buttons on the cable.

Newer versions for the iPhone7 and up have a lightning plug now instead of the headphone jack. They can’t be used on devices without a lightning port like all Android devices, but the EarBuds with the 3.5mm plug remain available for now.

    Maker: Apple
Price range: up to 50 US$
    Compatibility: iOS Android
    Technology: Electret Condenser
    Polar Pattern: unknown
Only buy this from Apple directly. Shops like Amazon are flooded with poor and cheaper copies, which are not from Apple, even if they say so.

I don't have any experiences with other microphones for Smule, but for new Smule users like me, the Apple earpods does its job well (clear sound and microphone -- for its price). hehe. Not to mention how convenient it is! ;)

Within its price range (and even above), the Apple EarBuds provide a great quality, both regarding the headphones as well as the microphone.

Apple earphones are a good beginning but they shouldn't be the end of what you want to sing on smule with try and iRig mic pre get a real microphone a real audio cable and record with the Apple earphones for listening only or choose the headphones you like best and you.tell me is there a difference?

I too use these, and find them excellent both in sound quality and recording quality, I recently went for a change to bluetooth Blaupunkt ear buds, I soon gave up on them as it was impossible to keep them in my ears. So back to the cheap cheerful and ever reliable apple buds.
