[Member tair…]
Hi, I bought a v8 soundcard n condenser mic. Plugged the mic directly into laptop, it didnt work. Went thru v8, still didnt work. Do u think the mic is faulty? How do you record your vocals using bm800, on your mobile phone? Do u use the phone camera app?
[Member open…]
Condenser microphones need an input which provides the necessary 48V phantom power. This would also be true for phones. I use the iRig Pro I/O with my iPhone:
[Member tair…]
Thksfor reply. I was told v8 soundcard n mic would be enough. No need for phantom power. Btw, how do u record on mobile phone, using a condenser mic? Do u need to shut off phone's mic?

There seems to be a lot of information including video instructions about the additional equipment you need. 38 minutes ago, taira said: Btw, how do u record on mobile phone, using a condenser mic? Smule will detect the audio interface when it is plugged in and not use any other microphone.
