Bm800 condenser mic not working or?

Hi,

I bought a v8 soundcard n condenser mic. Plugged the mic directly into laptop, it didnt work. Went thru v8, still didnt work. Do u think the mic is faulty? How do you record your vocals using bm800, on your mobile phone? Do u use the phone camera app?

Condenser microphones need an input which provides the necessary 48V phantom power.

Thksfor reply. I was told v8 soundcard n mic would be enough. No need for phantom power. Btw, how do u record on mobile phone, using a condenser mic? Do u need to shut off phone's mic?

Try googling “v8 soundcard phantom power”. There seems to be a lot of information including video instructions about the additional equipment you need.

It’s pretty much automatic. Smule will detect the audio interface when it is plugged in and not use any other microphone.
