Should I stop opening songs?

I spend time opening songs but hardly ever get anyone to join anything I open. Duets take time to open and if people aren't joining, I'm wasting my time. I know I struggle at carrying a tune but i get requests to join others, yet very few join me.  

When I first opened the app I would send people invites directly for every song I opened. I stopped because I learned it was considered spamming and tried to only invite users every so often, to not annoy users. Yet it seems like I'm bothering people. I invited one of the better singers I follow today and got blocked. Worst part is I think there are users I follow are to polite to tell me that they don't want to join me because of my singing.
