[Member Ramk…]
I wanted to mute out the male voice in a duet song and use it as a karaoke duet track with the existing female singer in the song. Are they any tools that can do this and do this well?
[Member Rand…]
Absolutely, use Spleeter (this is a straight forward free version for Windows: https://makenweb.com/SpleeterGUI)), split the song into two stems (vocal and everything else), add the two tracks to a DAW like Abelton / Pro Tools / Cubase / Cakewalk / Reaper (Reaper has an indefinite evaluation period or is $60 USD: http://reaper.fm/), then delete the parts of the vocal track you don't want. That being said, you would need Melodyne Editor or Studio (https://www.celemony.com/en/melodyne/new-in-melodyne-5)for what it calls Direct Note Access to delete vocals that overlap one-another.  Hope this helps!
