Headset compatible to Smule

Hi....I don't know if anyone has the same problem or is it just me who's technology illiterate....but i just had a new phone and it comes with its original headset (AKG) the one you plugged in like a USB. When i use it to accept phone calls....or listening to Smule recordings....I have NO problem at all....but when I want to open a song on Smule using the headset....it didn't work. The music on Smule suddenly became slower....and it's breaking up as if it has bad transmission. I tried to sing with it even when the music has become very slow...then saved it....the voice came out weird. Scary 😅 but I don't think the headset is the problem because I still could listen to Smule recordings fine. Help?
