New contacts search. Can I keep my account private?

Contacts search is something I was afraid the would add sooner or later . It's a good thing, you can lookup smulers through your contact list. 

The problem is that, or I got it wrong, or they didn't add an option for those who don't want to be found.

I mean, are they crossing email address data with smule id?

If you worried about being found, I would suggest to create an email address just for Smule and not link your Smule account to Facebook for example.
