Recording on Smule with Irig Pro Duo

Recommended Posts

I just purchased the iRig Pro Duo

I am using an iphone X

I couldn't get smule to record until I found this helpful advice on this site.

- close the Smule sing app
- turn off Bluetooth (to make sure it does not connet to any bluetooth audio devices)
- open GarageBand and make sure that you actually get sound from your mic
- enable "Run in Background" in settings (when having a project open)
- open Sing
- ignore the use headphones pop up
- record

It’s a feature of Garageband (and other audio apps). But it shouldn't be needed anymore. Such USB/Lightning devices are supported now by Smule directly.
