SingingFool
If the Smule Genie 🧞‍♂️ granted you 3 wishes, what would they be? (What are some things/features/policy changes you would like to ask Smule for? Suggestions?) For me: 1) I wish there were a way I could get a notification when someone posts an OC for a song track I’ve uploaded to Smule (or any obscure track I have bookmarked) cuz I have some obscure songs I’d like to duet with people and very rarely would anyone post them. 2) I wish there were a function to blur out the background of videos because my place is pretty messy and walls are cluttered and it’s hard to find a good place to sing in my place. 3) I wish there were a key change adjuster like the karaoke machines so I’d be able to sing more songs comfortably. Feel free to chime in! 🧞‍♀️ Edited August 28 by SingingFool Grammar- subjunctive “were” not “was” 2
Prolific Indifference
What we need. Are the use of Auv3s.which is totally something that iOS has been great about for years and years there's thousands of apps out there that are auv3 hosts which is just saying that you can install your own third party effects you can pay 5 or 10 bucks for a Reverb from some developer if you like how he does shit they don't even have to they just need to make a slot for us to put the stuff in and connect it that's it there's already apps that do all this stuff it's called audiobus 3 could be the mixer between the two it I just don't know why it hasn't happened yet I guess cuz probably most smealers aren't really trying to even get that technical but when dealing with such a nuanced and nourished sort of skill you're going to have people that really care about that shit

I hope it helps.  1

As someone who also uploads some obscure songs, being notified (or having the option to receive those notifications) when someone opens one of your uploads would be great. Currently I do what @Isa_Bellamentioned, which is to search my name and check what songs of mine are open. It's fine doing it that way, but I agree that being notified would be way better. I'm not sure what would be my top 3 wishes, but I can get started with this: 1) More customization for each user. Considering how desperate Smule is to be like other social media platforms, it’s surprising that they haven’t given users the ability to customize their Smule feeds more. I’m talking stuff like hiding notifications for particular duets, hiding certain notifications all around (for people whose songs get added into “love rooms”), muting users you follow…you know, all the customization options platforms like Facebook, Instagram and Twitter afford to their users. And I would hardly even call these “features.” That said, I love that you can customize the Songbook tab, especially since it’s the default tab view on app startup. The “Unlocked” category are a user’s own song uploads. Once I realized this was a thing, I deselected categories like Recommended, Popular, Trending Now, From Smule, etc and selected only Unlocked and Rap (because you need at least two categories selected, haha). So now on app startup, I see a list of my most recent uploads. It’s awesome. And it’s that kind of customization I’d love to see all over the app. I haven’t updated the app on my main phone since the beginning of January. Features like recycling duets, viewing profile stats, searching in your own profile (insert "dismissive wank gesture" here), no-headphones audio enhancement and tipping are not making me rush out and update the app.  1

I tried it and unfortunately it retrieved 10 OCs from somebody whose Smule handle is almost the same as mine (just 2 letters different) but I did find one OC from a track that I uploaded. So it’s good to know!

Thank you for explaining this as I didn’t know you could customize the songbook tabs! 💡
