We have an important update to share regarding the Sing Live feature that we believe will help enhance your experience and pave the way for future improvements. 

We’re introducing an initial 120-minute limit for Sing Live sessions, though this may be adjusted in the future.

The word around the water cooler is that this 2-hour time limit is directly linked to the new tipping feature that’s currently being tested. Perhaps the idea is to implement live-only tipping sessions, and to limit the run times so everyone can have a fair shot at letting their followers give them money.

Also let’s not pretend Smule doesn’t already have a plan to introduce Sing Live extensions, like they do with OCs: “Want more time? Your two hours are almost up! Pay 500 coins for one more hour, up to 2 extra hours, for a total of 4 hours.”

Live Jams are the best area to runner banner Ads inside the viewing area. It's live and instantly reachable to listeners in an ongoing session. Also, they can run a 10 sec video Ad when people enter the Jam. This could earn them additional revenue to keep the live jams up and running instead of forcing a 2 hour limit or asking people to buy coins out of their pocket in addition to already paid subscription.
