[Member OK2S…] Posted October 26, 2017 Share Posted October 26, 2017 When I start a new group recording it seems that the vocal recording is panned a bit left or right. Does any one know how the panning works in the app? Does it alternate left and right for each layer added? [Member open…] Posted October 26, 2017 Share Posted October 26, 2017 Yes, there is fully automatic panning. You are only in the center for a solo. For duets one voice is moved to the left, the other to the right. For group songs it depends on how many people join I think. But yes, the voices are distributed across the stereo spectrum. Smule is still experimenting with that. A while ago, the group voices were actually moved in and out of the center while singing, which created rather weird effects.
