Green circle around profile pic

Recommended Posts

Just came across a smuler with a green outline over his profile pic. Usually it is white, like the other smulers.

Just curious if it means anything at all.

The thing is, sometimes it is green and sometimes it is white. I don't know if it means anything at all.

I think I know what it means. A friend said it means the person is online.

A user name would be better than a screenshot. Also, what device are you using?

I realised it and tried deleting pic, but apparently one can't delete post or attachment after a certain time.  Perhaps this function should be made available.

I am using an android.

I checked all my followers and friends I follow on Android as well as my iPad. I know may are busy singing right now but I dont see any green rings around their profiles. May they are Super Verified Smuleans, Verified Smuleans have a Purple Tick before their Profile names

I believe some have tweaked their settings not to show their online status,  then the ring around the profile pic will be white.

This green ring isn't permanently on the profile , sometimes it is white and sometimes green, therefore I believe it is an online status.

And thank you to the moderator/admin who deleted the pic. Why isn't that an option in this forum?

Our Supporter membership contains additional editing features. The standard member group doesn’t, since editing posts can also be misused is various ways. Someone could make a normal post and then later replace it with spam links. Someone could mass-delete their post and render entire discussions useless and so on.

(False claims about privacy laws were moved out of this topic. Let’s keep it about the green circle in this topic.)
