Iphone External Mic Hookup

New iPhone user here. Trying to figure out what I need to hook up my external mic. It's a Shure SM58 running through a Presonus Audiobox preamp. On my Android I used these two cables to connect the Presonus to the phones 1/8" jack:

What do I need to connect the Presonus to my iPhone lightning port? Is it just a matter of using the standard lightning headphone adapter with my existing setup or is there a better way? I never got the best results on the Android, and actually got better audio quality using the phone's built in mic, which didn't make any sense to me given how good the Shure mic is.

Any suggestions?

You can probably continue using that setup, but it’s rather complicated/messy.

We tend to suggest using microphones or audio interfaces that come with a lightning cable. That’s a much cleaner solution and has better sound because the signal is passed on digitally to the device.

I strongly recommend the iRig Pro I/O, a Mob Phone interface that comes with a Lightning connections plus its own power supply that charges the iPhone. I have a dedicated iPad connected to iRig Pro I/O and Dynamic Mic AKG D5 Vocal and ATH M 50x head phones. I am Happy as Larry and all I need now is a Better Voice 😜
