tech Karaoke TV system setup w/ mic using smule

We're excited about setting up a karaoke system in our living room. We're planning on purchasing:

Apple TV 4th gen  and a Microphone (maybe 2x mics)

Do i need a mixer? Can I use my vizio soundbar instead (inputs: usb, L/R audio, 3.5mm, optical)? Or even my tv's hdmi ports etc?

For the speaker, can I use my vizio soundbar? If I use a mic and mixer/av receiver with Apple TV, will I actually hear my voice come out of the speaker so everyone in the room can hear? That's what I hope happens. 

If you can also point me to a mixer, speaker (if I can't use my soundbar) from Amazon.com. This would be helpful so I can get the right equipment. I know that's a lot to ask for but anything would help. Thanks.

Not necessarily, but if you use a mixer, that is the setup Smule recommends:

The key is not to go through the TV to avoid a delay of the audio signal.
