Guest Posted November 10, 2019 Share Posted November 10, 2019 I couldn’t find the thread where users stated their chat messages have been disappearing. I now know one reason. I’ve done a little experimenting and determined that messages containing keywords, such as the name of a Smule competitor in a message, are not allowed to go through their system. I am relatively certain there are other keywords that trigger the censorship. Guest Posted November 11, 2019 Share Posted November 11, 2019 To clarify I don’t promote other karaoke apps, but I had to mention the name of a competitor to explain something to another Smule user. The messages would not go through. I am not a fan of the chat feature due to abuse (gossip, libel, etc.), but I will use it for sing-related issues, and I did discover certain messages with keywords are not allowed.
