  • Smule adds notification settings

This is something Smule users have requested for years: you now have granular control over the type of events you receive push notifications for. So for example: you can turn off the hundreds of OC invite notifications you receive when you follow many people, but still get alerted if someone sends you a message or invites you to a Live Jam.

You can find the new options under “Push Notifications” on the settings page when you run the latest version of Smule. This was rolled out to both the Apple and the Android version.

This is wonderful news. So much info gets dumped under notifications that I often miss important messages from singing partners. A welcome change.

Wish bookmarked invitations expiry times do not get dumped under notifications and also wish there was a provision to reverse the invitations from singers I follow, which appears with "latest at the top" could be reversed to "oldest at the top" so we do not have to scroll down several hundred invites to get to the bottom.. If this option was available then there would be no need to bookmark any invites. One could join whenever in a mood to sing and join an invite that was going to expire soon.

Smule should make the comment section can be closed if we wanted to close it. I have suggested them this for so many times but they never made it. This can prevent some unnecessary harassments

Please guys write more to smule. Let smule make us this new function. That is we can close the comment if we don't want anyone leave comment to our songs(oc, duets..). This is the only way we can prevent unnecessary harassments or bullying from some scammers and bad people on smule

Yeah I’m not a big fan of this idea I don’t think communication between people should be completely unavailable simply because somebody might say something to offend you I realize how upsetting or embarrassing hurtful feedback can be but that’s not something that needs to be taken out of our hands so we can deal with it also just because I don’t particularly like hearing some thing that someone has to say about me it doesn’t mean that they’re not right and that I should probably listen or learn from what they’re sayingI think if you were that sensitive about what someone could could say then maybe you should just make your recordings private instead of trying to allow sensitive people to be unreachable when you’re the one who made your post public in the first place

Obviously you're kind a new on smule. You have no idea what kind of people out there actually and probably not many people comment your songs or even notice you. Its not about sensitive its about there are many trouble makers and jealous people on smule. Well im a singer owns nearly one hundred thousand followers so trust me i know whats going on out there and I'm sure you wouldn't know and you might never know

Im sure you don't know a lot of great singers just gone from smule forever and will never come back again just because some bullying comments from some jealous people or scammers on smule. If smule made that function long ago. Smule would be a so much popular place to sing. Now only few people left. You have no idea in 2015 2016 how many people out there compare with now. Lol. Why YouTube have that function? Can close the comment if we don't want anyone to comment our videos? You think its unnecessary also?😏

Since you have android vip why you still need iPhone vip? So much more expensive and it doesn't work any better than android at all

I really wanted to ask you. How many followers you got? And how many people join your songs in general? Trust me it makes a difference if you know what im trying to tell you.if your song have over hundred joiners then you'll start to worry what kind of comment they'll gonna give you

You can delete their comments if you opened the song. Unfortunately you can't delete their comments if you joined someone

Leave the comments alone. Often times I like going back to older songs from years ago and realize that there were lost and forgotten people that I really had alot of fun with, and it's so much easier to just comment on track and reconnect. Besides, not if, but when there is harassment, either harrass them back, or, better idea, report them to smule and let them deal with it accordingly. And I'm speaking from experience because I'm in this app to sing freestyles, which is gangster rap(murder rap😂) and I have a fair share of haters. For some reason, I attract alot of the women to leave their "app boyfriend, believe it or not) which starts comment arguments that literally tally up the comments up to 700+(most I've seen) all back and forth b.s.)
