Keep my duet invites for more than 7 days ?? How to do it please? š¤
[Member sdrā¦] replied to [Member Kingā¦] 's topic in Smule Help Forum
That's what I do with the expired invites I find in a search. In a way it is better than the bookmark because the other singer gets notified that you will be joining it later. A kind of 'Promise'š After joining or deciding to not join you can remove it from favories. This is a better use of Favorites because hardly anyone other than yourself go through them.ššš -

Smule should make sure their Android app works with all of the features and just as well as their iOS app works. I am NOT fan of Apple, and telling me to switch to Apple's products is insulting. -

I don't mind if invites are automatically removed from a singer's list of invites after 7 days, however, if I've bookmarked someone's invite to join later, it'd be nice if it stayed on my list of bookmarked invites until I've had a chance to join them instead of disappearing at the end of the 7 days. (If the other person has manually closed the invite, then that's fine if it's also removed from my list of bookmarked invites.) Once in a while, if I know I won't be able to join the other person before the invite expires, I add the invite to my "favorites" list so that I won't forget about it. But I don't like to do it that way because then the other person gets notified that I've "favorited" their song, which isn't my intention. - Yesterday

I can understand the need for such a feature even if the invites are still available in the profile, though I never used it when it was available. Hope they will be sensible enough to reinstate that feature in future. š -

My comment refers to a paid 7 days extention of invite... it used to have this option but they removed it. -

I'm referring to when some users get check marks and their invites stick around in searches forever. -
Just in case anyone hasn't picked up on it, blocking the profiles of any paid invites you get will prevent them from ever showing up again. It's irritating when you open the app and your invite notifications are filled with people you're not connected to. They all seem to have thousands of comments and likes, even though their OC is shown as brand new. I've noticed recently that the mass invite profiles, rather than following almost nobody, appear like regular users. I'm not sure what the point is of this, but again... ...if they're raising their stock on your clock, you can blockity block block block. šš

As far as I'm concerned it's impossible to sing most of the songs this way. I also have apple, but lately in my opinion the sound quality of android has surpassed apple. There is no doubt however that many more lines of text are visible on Apple. I await new interventions. Thanks. -

I think current setup is better. Invites are removed from the Invites tab after 7 days but are always accessible from the singer's profile or a search result. -

It's short for "open call" (sometimes referred to as an "open"). It's a term for a song you start that you'd like others to join -

I'd imagine someone can pay for a checkmark if they want an OC to stay on their invite list. -

Itās a weird system currently. Traditionally, a duet OC would run 7 days and there was no way to change/extend that. But now, even āexpiredā OCs can still be joined, unless they were manually closed before they expired automatically. Despite this change, the old system of having duet OCs run for 7 days remains in place. Long story short: No, you canāt extend your OCs. But you also donāt need to, as users will be able to join them even after 7 days. -

Can confirm it shows up the same way for me. I'm on a Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra. It's always been like this for me as far as I can remember. Though on certain songs, sometimes you'll get the "follow along" musical lines at the bottom of the screen, too... Perhaps your phones are running older, or perhaps alternate versions of Smule? I agree, it could be more helpful for some to see more of the lyrics. š -

No it's not normal, it wasn't like that before and then I compared it with other android, there must be a problem. In any case it is almost impossible to sing. Thanks for the reply. - Earlier

Thatās normal. What is being partially covered is only the upcoming text, not the line you need to sing. On Apple devices, it looks a little bit nicer, because the text isnāt just cut off, but has a gradient. But the principle is the same. -
